Development Boards

Introduction

RIoT Secure supports a number of development boards for prototyping, testing and learning. These boards use commonly available hardware.

Arduino UNO R4 WiFi

The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi provides an out-of-the-box solution for getting started with the RIoT Secure Platform.

The UNO R4 features two microcontrollers, used for modem and application firmware.

Order Board

With UNO R4 WiFi no additional hardware is needed - this is the recommended board for getting started with the RIoT Secure Platform.

FUSION Shield

The RIoT FUSION Shield is a bridge between a modem and an application microcontroller. It is designed for AVR microcontrollers.

The FUSION Shield requires soldering headers to the shield. Two boards are required - an application board and a modem board.

The following application boards are supported by the FUSION Shield:

• Arduino Uno
• Arduino Mega

The following modem boards are supported:

• Arduino MKR WiFi 1010
• Other MKR boards
